Creative Intelligence

Hey thanks for stopping by everyone. This session is so that you can understand how Scriptmatix can effectively serve your interests as a screenwriter through creative intelligence and give you the competitive edge. So let’s get into it.

We first want to introduce you to the big trio. Our company has 3 divisions that all work simultaneously, in unison. Development. Management. Production. Our development arm is all about developing content, screenwriters, and bringing those best contents to production/finance, and to our literary management team for exploitation in the marketplace. I’ll go into each one in detail, starting with:

Development. We leverage proprietary technologies that give our writers and our team a competitive edge in the marketplace. Through thought models and revolutionary processes, we bring solutions to development that screenwriters cannot find anywhere else. Typically, a fully realized development process can take time. It’s really a process of synthesis. As james Cameron said – I’m paraphrasing – “you’re juggling a bunch of ideas and trying to see which ones crystallize and which ones fall by the wayside.” Well, what we are doing is providing technologies that expedite that crystallization process and provide that creative sandbox for writers which is potent, in tune with their vision, and aligned with the mainstream marketplace.

Literary management. Our script analysis method – which leverages an entirely original and properietary method of gauging narrative value – is a highly accurate tool for understanding any script in the development phase (keep in mind all scripts are in development until they enter preproduction). Our method doesn’t care how many times you submit or how popular you are. It’s 100% meritocratic. It is meant to curate and alert our management team to talent and great content with a high level of accuracy. So How do you get connected with management? The consultations made available to you were created as a way for us to serve you as active managers because – you gotta understand – we want every writer to be outputting amazing content because our management team thrives on great content (managers make a living by representing true talent). We want you to be undeniably ready. That’s what managers need and do – they sell projects, they book writers and talent – it’s a necessity to thrive. Our team has amassed decades of relationships in the Studio and network system, has represented major talents for decades, so we have the knowledge and skillset to develop talent and projects for the market. So you better believe that we want great content (emphasis on great). We know what’s good, we know how to improve it, we know how to market it – not based solely on whim or opinion – but on creative intelligence and data – and we make that knowledge available to you so we can all thrive.

Production – we have a production arm and connections in the film finance world. There are projects we can absolutely get made and while, right now that’s limited to certain genres and budget ranges, we see ourselves expanding that gradationally over the next decade.

We don’t provide one step, we provide the whole staircase. I think by now what you can see is that we have an apparatus that can – and has – taken writers up the food chain fairly quickly. And while a lot of content comes to us completed, the real power of our program is developing writers. Again, we think of ourselves as development-centric managers at your disposal. If you’re a budding talent or poised to break out, we want you to be consulting with us on your next project because we want to be getting your project on the right track and hopefully representing that project and breaking you into the industry. We start developing at all stages starting with:

Concept and logline development: we truly believe and can verify as FACT that almost every concept is valid and able to get made. The difference is execution. We also understand the foundation of execution is a fully realized world – this includes a fully realized body of characters and dramatic structure. We encourage all writers to book consults with us at the logline and concept stage because having directionality and certain elements aligned at this phase will lend to a much smoother outline/treatment process.

Treatment development: obviously, a treatment says a lot about the story you’re trying to tell. It also says a lot about how ready you are to write and how developed the world is. What we do at this phase is offer writers the type of synthesizing insights that typically can only be achieved through time. Now – based on your treatment and the choices you have made – we make you aware of your paradigmatic choices and show you your gamut of options to optimize and fully realize your world and body of characters. For example – In simpler terms – we have tools to tune your body of characters and give you the creative insights you need to go into your first draft with not only a fully developed protagonist, but secondary characters and relationships (really a difference maker between good and great scripts).

The threshold of readiness. Of course, we evaluate and consult on full scripts but that’s no surprise so I’m not covering that here. Ultimately; I want to convey that We are a hybrid development/management company that wants to get you and your project on the right track and to the threshold if readiness and into the marketplace with success. I see us as a unique ally to the screenwriter in this way. I truly believe that if you have the drive and the dedication, you will succeed here. We’ve seen it done and we’re continuing to see this process work. And it’s only getting better as our tech continues to evolve.

Lastly, I want to thank you for taking the time to watch this and I want you to know, YOU CAN MAKE IT.. If you have any questions please email support@scriptmatix.com Please follow our YouTube channel and you can find us on Facebook and Instagram @scriptmatix.
